Did you see the letter written and signed by many of the faculty and student body at the Christian college Bush was to speak at? The letter to Bush was one of the best I’ve ever seen, very respectful to the office of the president — yet the writers were still able to distinguish between the office and the man currently holding it — and voice total opposition to the words, deeds and actions of a self-professed born-again that aren’t very Christian. I was very proud to read it. I wonder if Bush ever got a chance to look at it. It was the kind of admonishment that would make him pause in a quiet moment and take stock.
