Everything changes. I know that. My extended childhood family celebrated with an overwhelming calender of Polish traditions. (See the poem at the end of this post: https://www.kalilily.net/2019/12/24/its-just-another-christmas-eve/)
I don’t really even celebrate “Christmas”. I”m more of a Solstice honorer these days.
But it is Christmas, and I am going to send my estrranged brother an email and wish him the best.
The last time I tried to do that for his birthday, it didn’t turn out well. Wish me luck.
Bro must be in a bucket of pain if he dishes out animosity so easily. Good luck.
Yes, he is, but I’ve learned to just let him ramble on and just keep saying “mmm”. Happy Holidays to you. I hope are well and having fun.
Merry Christmas! I still try to celebrate it, though participants get fewer and fewer. Luckily, Mike is still with me, and so is our “new” dog, Winnie, the chiweenie. Friend Cynthia came over yesterday, but her husband Bill died in August. And so it goes…. Sorry about your brother. “Estranged” is an apt word for our family too….
